the Index
I love books.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE books.
Did I mention how much I love and adore books? . . .
. . . and newspapers and magazine articles and merit badge pamphlets and any written material in print
Only one problem: it drives me crazy when I want to find some phrase or sentence so that I can review it. Drives me nuts.
Every book I produce is going to be infinitely and immaculately searchable. I don’t care what it takes. Even the printed hardback or paperback hard-copy books must have a searchable mirror copy, accessible in my publishing house to any book owner.
And that is final.
I will decide later if the book has an index. An index is notoriously difficult to produce error-free. Why include a fixed, immutable index if you have access to immaculate and complete searchability.
